A recent study published in Food & Nutrition Research finds that children and adolescents who eat candy are less likely to be overweight and obese. Very interesting stuff!
Now, if you are planning on candy for dinner, hang on a tic. Lead researcher, Carol E. O’Neil, reminds us, “candy should not replace nutrient-dense foods in the diet; it is a special treat and should be enjoyed in moderation.” (… and as we’ve said before as part of an active lifestyle!)
