Candy-Scented Perfumes

Smarties staffer, Michele, pretends to apply a Mega Smarties scent.

We get it.  Candy smells really really good.  So delicious, in fact, that you may just want to rub a little on your neck and let the scent linger.  Sound a little out there?  On the contrary, it’s actually quite mainstream…

Perfumers have been riding a candy scented wave for at least 20 years.  The trend is detailed in this recent New York Times article which states that Angel, a patchouli, vanilla, praline and caramel scented fragrance by Thierry Mugler, is the 5th best-selling perfume in the United States (according to the NDP Group).  Apparently, this scent has been copied by many who want to emulate its candy-coated popularity.  Step into the perfume aisle and you might just feel like a kid in a candy store.  But don’t be fooled; you’ll have to bring your own candy to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Working in a candy factory, one literally lives, breathes and smells like candy, so Smarties staffers always leave the office smelling sweet and smartyriffic.  But those of us who don’t work in candyland can rest assured that there are a myriad of sweet smelling scents to choose from.   Smarties perfume, anyone?! 😉
